TheGamma Zetachapter of Phi Sigma Sigma would like to welcome you to URI. The greek community is a great place to grow, make friends and get involved. Fall rush is a great opportunity to see all 9 sororities here at URI.
My name is Valerie Bellroseand I am the recruitment chair of Phi Sigma Sigma. Below is a brief overview of our chapter and important recruitment events you won't want to miss! We look forward to meeting all of you and letting you get a little tasteof our world.
The Phi Sigma Sigma sisterhood is based on our 3 core values; inclusiveness, life long learning, andleadership through service. The sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma are very diverse; each person brings a different quality to our chapter. We each are involved in at least 2 other activities such as URI 101 mentors, Jumpstart, SEC, FMS, and so much more. As well as our separate activities, we all work together to support our national philanthropy, The National Kidney Foundation, by hosting 2 main events: Battle of the Bands and our Rock-a-Thon. As busy as we are, education is another top priority atPhi Sig.
Although we pride ourselves oninvolvement, PHILANTHROPY, andacademics, we have a greatsocialaspect. With 2formalsa year, weekly sisterhoodevents, themed socials, Philanthropy Week, and Greek Week, there isNEVER A DULL MOMENT. No two sisters are exactly the same, however we have all come together to create lifelongfriendships. We have truly built a new home away from home and hope you get to experience it for yourself.
